yeah

suddenly received a sms from my fren, study in aimst..asking me why the potassium manganate in titration must be in acidic condition?? i am not sure about my answer so decided to ask my chemistry teacher…

this event happened in the chemistry lab during recess…

me: teacher, i wanna ask y the potassium manganate must be acidified for   every reaction??

teacher: oh, y u ask such question? this question is in redox reaction.. we haven come to that bab yet. i’m not going to ask in ur exam too.

me: but teacher, i jaz wanna know the answer. this is a two marks question.

teacher: where do u get this question?

me: is from my fren actually..

teacher: i’m not ur fren’s teacher. ur fren wan to know, she should ask her tutor. she should do her own research. u shouldnt do too much for her. thats not ur job.

me: but, i also wan to know the answer.

teacher: is very hard to explain now. u wont understand what am i talking coz u dunno anything about redox reaction..about potential electrode…dun b too worry about upper six work..we will eventually come to that.

me: so, teacher is it correct if the answer i give is the hydrogen ion fr the acid will act as reduction agent to reduce MnO- to Mn2+ while in neutral condition, the manganate ion will b reduced to MnO2??

teacher: the answer is not so good. i have a more simple direct straight forward answer.. but i cant tell the answer straight. coz u wont b understand  what is that.. u will tend to memorize the answer and ur fren too will memorize it. this will not help u in understanding the chapter. i cant give u a fish everyday. u must learn to catch a fish.

me : (fish??)

teacher: now i’m teaching u how to catch a fish so that u can catch ur own fish everyday. i give u tips.. the answer is in the redox reaction bab. ask ur fren to look for it.

me: teacher i try 2 find b4, but dun have. teacher y cant u jaz tell me the answer. mayb i can understand.

teacher: the answer is in the book. u must catch ur own fish.

me: (FISH??)

teacher: i shouldnt giv u the answer straight. u understand ah?

me: (NO!!!)

teacher: some more she is not my student, y should i tell the answer. if she is my student mayb i would kindly tell her a bit more.

me: teacher, assume that i’m asking la…u tell me..i wont tell her one..

teacher: hahaha…no no no…try to look at this equation..go back and think about it..okay…?

me: ( i know this equation and think for it very long ady !!!) okay.. "THX" teacher..

answer?? huh?? fish??
